Georgian Dream vows to continue reforms

The ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party is ready to continue reforms in different spheres, said GD Chair Irakli Kobakhidze in response to the statement of the European Council President Charles Michel.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and European Council President informally met on the sidelines of the Crimea Platform Summit on August 23 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Following the meeting, Charles Michel wrote on Twitter that Georgia needs the reforms as ever.

“Underlined to prime minister Garibashvili that reforms are as needed as ever. The deadline for disbursement of macro-financial assistance is looming, and it is time for the Georgian government to demonstrate its commitment to the agreements and notably the reform agenda,” he tweeted.
