Georgian Dream faction sees opposition to continue destructive activities

European Council President Charles Michel assured the opposition and its radical part that negotiations had to be constructive. But today, we saw the contrary destructive activities, said Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the opposition violated the promise by an attempt to picket the Parliament building.

“This is not proper behavior that could lead to the positive outcome of the negotiations. That proves irresponsibility,” Mdinaradze stated.

The Chairman of the GD Faction pledged to continue the negotiations process due to the statehood interests.

Georgian Interior Ministry (MIA) detained seven anti-governmental protesters for the administrative offence during the Parliament building picket in Tbilisi on Tuesday morning.

The picket was held after Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and opposition politicians held a meeting mediated by European Council President Charles Michel on March 1.
