Georgian delegation condemns training on occupied regions at OSCE Security Cooperation Forum

The Georgian delegation condemned the military training Caucasus 2020 held by Russia from September 21 to September 26 at Security Cooperation Forum of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

According to Foreign Ministry, the Georgian delegation evaluated the fact as violation of international legal norms and as harsh breach of August 12, 2008 ceasefire agreement. The Georgian side claimed that Russia’s aggressive and provocative moves threatened security and caused destabilization in the region.

Foreign Ministry reported that statements in support of Georgia were made by members of delegations from the EU, US, Canada, United Kingdom and Ukraine. The foreign delegations called on Russia for fulfillment of taken commitments and reiterated unwavering support to Georgia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
