Georgian citizens will be able to get Thailand visa at the border

Visa on Arrival will be enacted starting from February 2019, which will allow Georgian citizens traveling to Thailand to get a trip visa on the border and stay in the country within 15 days, – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia released this information.

According to the ministry, it became known during the meeting of the Georgian Ambassador to India, Archil Dzuliashvili, with the representatives of the government and royal house of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Thai side confirmed that Visa on Arrival will be enacted from February 2019.

Within the framework of the visit, Archil Dzuliashvili met with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on December 11, in Bangkok. During the meeting, the existing bilateral relations between Georgia and the Kingdom of Thailand were discussed. Talks touched upon the visit of the Princess of Thailand to Georgia when she became acquainted with the history and culture of Georgia.

Maha Chakri Sirindhorn expressed interest to learn more about Georgian culture, history, traditions and Georgian art. The sides expressed their readiness to cooperate actively for further development of bilateral relations in different fields.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia handed over the credentials to the King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.
