As a result of the active work of the Georgian Government with the relevant countries, Georgian citizens, who remained on the territory of Iran due to the closure of the border between Azerbaijan and Iran regarding the prevention of the spread of coronavirus, were transported to Georgia in accordance with the protocol recommended by the Ministry of Health, – Alexandre Khvtisiashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia

As Deputy Minister noted the citizens were met by the staff of the Emergency Coordination and Emergency Center at the Georgian border.

“They underwent through a proper inspection and were transported to a quarantine facility”, – Alexandre Khvtisiashvili added.
