Georgian citizen detained by Tskhinvali occupation regime to be released

After two months of detention by the Tskhinvali occupation regime, Ramaz Begeluri, a resident of the village of Gugutiaantkari in the Gori Municipality, was released following the judgement of the so-called Tskhinvali court.

Ramaz Begeluri was handed over to the Georgian law enforcers at the Ergneti checkpoint. Georgian police questioned Begeluri, who said no pressure was put on him in the occupied Tskhinvali prison.

The released Georgian also stated that he met another Georgian detainee Zaza Gakheladze once, but did not have the opportunity to talk to him.

Russian soldiers detained Ramaz Begeluri on February 2 for the third time for penetration of the so-called border.
