Georgia reports 832 coronavirus cases, 624 recoveries, 17 deaths

Georgia reported 832 coronavirus cases, 624 recoveries, and 17 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 457 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 70 cases, and the Imereti region with 67 cases.

A total of 31 409 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 17 617 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13 792 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2, 65 %, while 3 % in the past 14 days. As of June 5, 167 332 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 348 594 among them, 332 304 people recovered and 4 893 died.

There are 27 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 435 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 619 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
