Georgia reports 811 coronavirus cases, 672 recoveries, 13 deaths

Georgia has reported 811 coronavirus cases, 672 recoveries, and 13 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

34,668 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 19,809 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,859 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 470 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 69 cases and the Adjara region with 53 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 356,179, among them, 341,775 people recovered and 5,096 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,34%, while 2,54% in the past 14 days.

There are 40 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2,935 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 599 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 672 critical patients, 189 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 216,742 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
