Georgia reports 8 new cases of COVID-19, five recoveries

Eight new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been detected in Georgia, bringing the total number of infected persons to 981.

The information about infected people has recently been updated on the special web-page stopcov.ge created by the Georgian government.

Five more patients recovered from the novel virus in the past 24 hours. The total number of recovered patients stands at 851 at present.

The 15 patients died of COVID-19 in the country. Thirty-one people are brought from abroad for medical treatment (3+28 Georgian soldiers serving peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan).

Currently, 4851 people remain in quarantine and 231 – under medical observation.
