Georgia reported 740 coronavirus cases, 496 recoveries, and 14 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 328 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 138 cases and the Guria region with 55 cases.
A total of 20 549 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them 11 802 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5 747 were PCR tests.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 266 462 among them 259 228 people recovered and 3 377 died.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3.6%, while 2.4% over the past seven days.
There are 242 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 848 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 230 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
