Georgia reports 673 coronavirus cases, 298 recoveries, 8 deaths

Georgia reported 673 coronavirus cases, 298 recoveries, and 8 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 330 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 67 cases and the Shida Kartli region with 57 cases.

A total of 30 751 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 23 361 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7 390 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 2,19 %, while 1,69 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 281 145, among them, 272 899 people recovered and 3 773 died.

There are 263 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 624 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 214 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
