Georgia reports 551 coronavirus cases, 880 recoveries, 23 deaths

Georgia reported 551 coronavirus cases, 880 recoveries, and 23 deaths, Berdia Sichinava, the Inter-Agency Coordination Council representative announced on Monday.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 196 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 84 cases, and the Adjara region with 62 cases, the official figures show.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 239 780, among them 226 215 people recovered and 2 796 died.

There are 506 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 929 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 722 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, there are 840 critical patients, among them, 251 require mechanical ventilation.
