Georgia reports 538 coronavirus cases, 498 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia reported 583 coronavirus cases, 498 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 227 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 83 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 60 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 261 018, among them 252 246 people recovered and 3 258 died.

There are 478 people placed in the government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 287 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 274 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at Covid hotels.
