Georgia reports 535 coronavirus cases, 757 recoveries, 7 deaths

Georgia reported 535 coronavirus cases, 757 recoveries, and 7 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show. The positivity rate over the past 7 days stands at 2.75 %.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 201 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 101cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 42 cases.

A total of 27 187 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 18 381 tests were rapid tests, 8 806 – PCR tests.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 265 200, among them 257 441 people recovered and 3, 343 died.

There are 226 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 004 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 277 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at Covid hotels.
