Georgia reports 521 coronavirus cases, 1,058 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia has reported 521 coronavirus cases, 1,058 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

11,226 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 3,463 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 7,763 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 285 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 68 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 49 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 304,272, among them, 287,029 people recovered and 4,043 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4,64%, while 4.03% in the past 14 days.

There are 227 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3,676 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 727 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 644 critical patients, 126 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 38,553 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
