Georgia reported 507 coronavirus cases, 660 recoveries, and 15 deaths on Friday, the official figures show. The positivity rate over the past 7 days stands at 3%.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 191 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 108 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 46 cases.
A total of 24 359 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 16 451 tests were rapid tests, 7 908 – PCR tests.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 264 665, among them 256 684 people recovered and 3, 336 died.
There are 304 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 045 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 284 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at Covid hotels.
