Georgia reported 5 697 coronavirus cases, 2 713 recoveries, and 54 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 2 600 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 648 cases, and the Imereti region with 649 cases.

A total of 44 536 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 32 610 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11 926 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 12, 79 %, while 9, 09 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 455 846, among them 406 475 people recovered and 6 182 died.

There are 42 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6 552 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 36 609 people are self-isolated, 33 939 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are treated at home.
