Georgia reports 4,837 coronavirus cases, 1,586 recoveries, 26 deaths

Georgia reported 4,837 coronavirus cases, 1,586 recoveries, and 26 deaths on October 13, the official figures show.

49,386 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 32,217 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,169 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9,79%, while 8,52% in the past seven days.

Georgian capital of Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,379 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 1,028 cases, and the Kakheti region with 889 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 645,195, among them, 605,581 people recovered and 9,332 died.

There are 61 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,766 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 803 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of  1,053 critical patients, 250  require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,889,200 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 6,837 in a day.
