Georgia reports 4,467 coronavirus cases, 1,790 recoveries, 42 deaths

Georgia reported 4,467 coronavirus cases, 1,790 recoveries, and 42 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,462 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 876 cases, and the Kakheti region with 734 cases.

A total of 52,487 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 31,051 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 21,436 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,51 %, while 8,94 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 688,804, among them 626,478 people recovered and 9,699 died.

There are 51 people quarantined, 5,925Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 993 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of October 23, 1,943,743 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 5,549 in a day.
