Georgia reports 419 coronavirus cases, 307 recoveries, 6 deaths

Georgia reported 419 coronavirus cases, 307 recoveries, and 6 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 203 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 64 cases and the Kvemo Kartli region with 27 cases.

A total of 29 341 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 18 964 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 377 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1,43 %, while 1.6% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 279 446, among them, 271 585 people recovered and 3 738 died.

There are 271 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1 563 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 192 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
