Georgia reported 4 247 coronavirus cases, 3 053 recoveries, and 74 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 755 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 456 cases, and the Imereti region with 447 cases.

A total of 45 100 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 26 737 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18 363 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9, 42 %, while 10, 61 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 540 449 among them 476 555 people recovered and 7 175 died.

There are 112 people quarantined, 7 546 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 3 128 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities, 55 902 are in self-isolation.

As of August 28, 1 122 209 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, among them, 361 310 are fully vaccinated.
