Georgia reports 4 212 coronavirus cases, 1 982 recoveries, 38 deaths

Georgia reported 4 212 coronavirus cases, 1 982 recoveries, and 38 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 272 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 899 cases, and the Kakheti region with 702 cases.

A total of 52 620 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 32 545 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20 075 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8 %, while 7, 21 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 649 407, among them 607 563 people recovered and 9 370 died.

There are 61 people quarantined, 4 894 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 889 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of October 14, 1 895 771 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, with 6 110 in a day.
