Georgia reported 3 034 coronavirus cases, 3 952 recoveries, and 86 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 202 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 375 cases, and the Kakheti region with 289 cases.

A total of 36 400 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21 132 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15 268 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8, 34 %, while 9, 72 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 559 943 among them 506 486 people recovered and 7 649 died.

There are 111 people quarantined, 7 210 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 542 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities, 41826 are in self-isolation, 36 030 people are treated at home.

As of September 3, 1 259 391 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, among them, 437 094 are fully vaccinated.
