Georgia reports 2,953 coronavirus cases, 1,085 recoveries, 31 deaths

Georgia reported 2,953 coronavirus cases, 1,085 recoveries, and 31 deaths on January 10, the official figures show.

25,745 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 15,240 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,505 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,925 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 336 cases, and the Imereti region with 218 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 11,47%, while 9,57% in the past week.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 962,827 among them, 913,528 people recovered and 14,218 died.

There are 69 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,409 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,694 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,094 critical patients, 280 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 2,553,749 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 1,899 in a day.
