Georgia reports 2,533 coronavirus cases, 1,762 recoveries, 57 deaths

Georgia reported 2,533 coronavirus cases, 1,762 recoveries, and 57 deaths on September 11, the official figures show.

34,383 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 19,987 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,396 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 924 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 422 cases, and the Kakheti region with 244 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 579,031, among them, 536,321 people recovered and 8,146 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7,37%, while 7,5% in the past seven days.

There are 87 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,214 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,780 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of  1,488 critical patients, 374 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,467,065 people got coronavirus jab with 25,132 in a day.
