Georgia reports 2,515 coronavirus cases, 2,829 recoveries, 60 deaths

Georgia reported 2,515 coronavirus cases, 2,829 recoveries, and 60 deaths on September 15, the official figures show.

32,207 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 19,341 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,866 were PCR tests.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 587,551, among them, 551,780 people recovered and 8,347 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 7,81%, while 7,32% in the past seven days.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 869 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 393 cases, and the Kakheti region with 338 cases.

There are 76 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5,785 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,318 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,347 critical patients, 350 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,561,228​ people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 24,941 in a day.
