Georgia reports 2,191 coronavirus cases, 4,348 recoveries, 74 deaths

Georgia reported 2,191 coronavirus cases, 4,348 recoveries, and 74 deaths on November 8, the official figures show.

21,477 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 13,204 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,273 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,017 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 362 cases and the Kvemo Kartli region with 146 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 10,2%, while 10,41% in the past seven days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 755,046, among them, 693,129 people recovered and 10,509 died.

There are 46 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6,916 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,302 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,678 critical patients, 355 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 2,005,229 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 1,204 in a day.
