Georgia reports 2 684 coronavirus cases, 2 695 recoveries, 83 deaths

Georgia reported 2 684 coronavirus cases, 2 695 recoveries, and 83 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 080 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 262 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 238 cases.

A total of 38 625 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 22 317 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16 308 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6, 95 %, while 9, 46 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 562 627 among them 509 181 people recovered and 7 732 died.

There are 102 people quarantined, 7 061 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 453 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities, 39 046 are in self-isolation, 36 174 people are treated at home.

As of September 4, 1 285 742 people got the Covid-19 vaccine, among them, 454 486 are fully vaccinated.
