Georgia reported 2 617 coronavirus cases, 869 recoveries, and 9 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 485 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 236 cases, and the Imereti region with 220 cases.

A total of 43 394 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 23 104 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20 290 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6, 03 %, while 5, 55 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 400 698, among them, 371 434 people recovered and 5 665 died.

There are 51 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4 963 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 564 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

As of July 24, 398 454 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
