Georgia reported 2 236 coronavirus cases, 3 146 recoveries, and 44 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 946 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 499 cases, and the Imereti region with 177 cases.

A total of 23 439 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 12 524 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 915 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9, 54 %, while 8, 74% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 450 149, among them 403 762 people recovered and 6 128 died.

There are 42 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6 641 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2 552 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

As of August 9, 641 242 people got the coronavirus vaccine, among them 197 118 are fully vaccinated.
