Georgia reports 1,929 coronavirus cases, 1,914 recoveries, 33 deaths

Georgia reported 1,929 coronavirus cases, 1,914 recoveries, and 33 deaths on September 29, the official figures show.

32,522 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 18,251 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,271 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5,93%, while 5,82% in the past seven days.

Georgian capital of Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 659 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 363 cases and the Kakheti region with 286 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 611,269, among them, 582,805 people recovered and 8,917 died.

There are 45 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,278 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 726 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 1,068 critical patients, 272 require mechanical ventilation.

As of today, 1,774,769 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 12,469 in a day.
