Georgia reports 133 coronavirus cases, 276 recoveries, 12 deaths

Georgia reported 133 coronavirus cases, 276 recoveries, and 12 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

10,678 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 5,456 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,222 were PCR tests.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 78 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 20 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 14 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 271,872, among them 266,081 people recovered and 3,553 died.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 1.25 %, while 1.65% in the past 14 days.

There are 249 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1,426 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 150 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, out of 249 critical patients, 87 require mechanical ventilation.
