Georgia reports 1 862 coronavirus cases, 619 recoveries, 11 deaths

Georgia reported 1 862 coronavirus cases, 619 recoveries, and 11 deaths on Tuesday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1 136 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 164 cases, and the Kakheti region with 115 cases.

A total of 35 117 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 20 996 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14 121 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5, 3 %, while 4 % in the past 14 days. As of July 13, 310 332 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 379 673, among them, 360 558 people recovered and 5 479 died.

There are 49 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 705 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 924 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
