Georgia reported 1 800 coronavirus cases, 489 recoveries, and 20 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 735 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 331 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 151 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 233 879, among them 223 276 people recovered and 2 666 died.
There are 484 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 901 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 765 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, there are 863 critical patients, among them, 279 require mechanical ventilation.
