Georgia reported 1 738 coronavirus cases, 38 deaths, and 1 494 recoveries on Wednesday, the official figures show.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 743 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 301 cases, and the Adjara region with 115 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 225 893, among them 210 445 people recovered and 2 481 died.
There are 389 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5 480 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 223 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, there are 1 001 critical patients, among them, 346 require mechanical ventilation.
