Georgia reports 1 547 coronavirus cases, 1 131 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia reported 1 547 coronavirus cases, 1 131 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 907 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 141 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 117 cases.

A total of 25 541 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 14 212 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11 329 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 6, 06%, while 5, 66% in the past 14 days. The number of vaccinated people is 54 687.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 319 266, among them, 298 807 people recovered and 4 245 died.

There are 69 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4 354 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 759 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
