Georgia reports 1 390 coronavirus cases, 1 070 recoveries, 18 deaths

Georgia reported 1 390 coronavirus cases, 1 070 recoveries, and 18 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 790 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 168 cases and the Adjara region with 117 cases.

A total of 38 468 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 27 651 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 817 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3, 61%, while 5, 35% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 327 831, among them, 307 334 people recovered and 4 397 died.

As of today, 81 076 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

There are 65 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4 253 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 730 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
