Georgia reports 1 364 coronavirus cases, 423 recoveries, 22 deaths

Georgia reported 1 364 coronavirus cases, 423 recoveries, and 22 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 811 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 134 cases, and the Kakheti region with 83 cases.

A total of 33 629 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 17 883 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15 746 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4, 06 %, while 3, 67 % in the past 14 days. As of July 10, 296 074 people got the coronavirus vaccine.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 376 200, among them, 358 227 people recovered and 5 443 died.

There are 77 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 364 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 909 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
