Georgia reports 1 271 coronavirus cases, 729 recoveries, 11 deaths

Georgia reported 1 271 coronavirus cases, 729 recoveries, and 11 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 781 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 98 cases, and the Imereti region with 71 cases.

A total of 28 751 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 14 187 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14 564 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4,42 %, while 3,75% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 301 535 among them, 284 286 people recovered and 3 992 died. The number of vaccinated people is 34 897.

There are 232 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 527 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 682 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
