Georgia reports 1 219 coronavirus cases, 301 recoveries, 9 deaths

Georgia reported 1 219 coronavirus cases, 301 recoveries, and 9 deaths on Saturday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 676 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 126 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 123 cases.

A total of 34 046 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 21 754 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12 292 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 3,58 %, while 2,91% in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 294 540 among them, 280 132 people recovered and 3 925 died. The number of vaccinated people is 27 654.

There are 335 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 2 848 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 427 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
