Georgia reports 1 177 coronavirus cases, 837 recoveries, 26 deaths

Georgia reported 1 177 coronavirus cases, 837 recoveries, and 26 deaths on Friday, according to the Press Service of Prime Minister.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 496 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 187 cases, and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 105 cases, the official figures show.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 245 789 among them 229 196 people recovered and 2 893 died.

There are 499 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 732 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 648 people are placed at Covid Hotels, 9 294 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at home, 23 772 people are in self-isolation.

Currently, there are 777 critical patients, among them, 238 require mechanical ventilation.
