Georgia reported 1 164 coronavirus cases, 2 292 recoveries, and 33 deaths on Sunday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 383 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 229 cases, and the Kakheti region with 168 cases.

A total of 22 107 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 11 626 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10 481 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5, 27%, while 5,42 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 617 753, among them 589 791 people recovered and 9 038 died.

There are 31 people quarantined, 4 102 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 675 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are placed at the government-assigned facilities.

As of October 3, 1 813 679 people got the Covid-19 vaccine.
