Georgia reports 1 137 coronavirus cases, 1 179 recoveries, 11 deaths

Georgia reported 1 137 coronavirus cases, 1 179 recoveries, and 11 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 477 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 164 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 118 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 251 071, among them 238 101 people recovered and 2 998 died.

There are 536 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 478 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 534 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, there are 735 critical patients, among them, 219 require mechanical ventilation.
