Georgia reported 1 972 coronavirus cases, 2 737 recoveries, 43 deaths

Georgia reported  1 972 coronavirus cases, 43 deaths, and 2 737 recoveries on Thursday, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, Berdia Sichinava, said.

Georgian capital Tbilisi reported the highest number of 920 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 279 cases, and the Adjara region with 139 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 216 843, among them 194 705 people recovered and 2 276 died.

There are 405 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 6 149 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 588 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities, the official figures show.
