Georgia records 1 357 coronavirus cases, 748 recoveries, 21 deaths

Georgia reported 1 357 coronavirus cases, 748 recoveries, and 21 deaths on Thursday, Berdia Sichinava, the Inter-Agency Coordination Council representative announce.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 561 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 196 cases, and the Samegrelo region with 131 cases, the official figures show.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 244 612 among them 228 359 people recovered and 2 867 died.

There are 469 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3 780  Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 638 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, there are 808 critical patients, among them, 240 require mechanical ventilation.
