Georgia receives PCR Tests for COVID-19

Georgia’s Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs received 20 thousand high-quality PRC tests for novel coronavirus from South Korea – Alksandre Ghvtisiashvili, Deputy Foreign Minister said.

“The tests were bought and transported with support of Bank of Georgia in close cooperation with the Georgian Embassy in South Korea,” Ghvtisiashvili said.

PCR Tests are used to directly detect the presence of an antigen, rather than the presence of the body’s immune response, or antibodies.
