Georgia ranked 117th in World Happiness Report

Georgia was ranked the 117th in the 2020 World Happiness Report by the United Nations.

This report assesses how happy the citizens are in 156 countries based on the social, urban, and environmental impacts on happiness. Countries are rated in accordance with their citizens’ income, freedom, confidence, life expectancy, and social security.

The report was released on Friday, March 20, the International Day of Happiness. The happiest country, as last year, is Finland.

People in Afghanistan, South Sudan, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana, Yemen, Malawi, and India are least happy.

Georgia’s neighbor Armenia ranked 116th, Azerbaijan 89th; Iran 118th, and Turkey 93rd.
