Gazprom export revenues down 51% in January-February compared to last year

Russian energy giant Gazprom’s income from gas export has decreased by 51.3 percent in January-February, compared to the same period in 2019, to $5,05  billion. Russian media reported.

According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, the physical gas exports decreased by 24.6% in the reporting period to 32.5 billion cubic meters.

In February, Russia’s gas exports amounted to 14.2 billion cubic meters (down 22.5%) totally worth $2 billion, a decrease of 32.8% compared with the previous month.

In 2019, Gazprom supplied 199.2 billion cubic meters of gas to non-CIS countries (including China), a 1.3% decrease compared to 2018.

In 2019, exports to neighboring countries increased by 2.2 percent to 37.7 billion cubic meters.
