Foreign trade turnover increased by 2.7% in 2019

Foreign trade turnover increased by 2.7% in 2019 in Georgia in comparison to 2018 – National Bureau of Statistics reports.

Foreign trade turnover in figures is USD 12 834.7 million GEL out of which export is USD 3 771.5 – increase by 12.4%, import USD 9 063.2 million – decrease is 0.8%.

The negative trade balance was USD 5 291.8 million (41.2% of foreign trade) in 2019. The index of negative trade balance in 2018 was 46.1%.
