Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland will arrive in Georgia on August 6 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of August 2008 Georgia-Russia war.

In an exclusive interview with First Channel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius claimed that the visit will aim at expression of solidarity to Georgian people, their support and demonstration that Georgia will never be left alone face to face with the aggressor.

“The 20% of Georgia’s territory is occupied. Nothing changed during years. Continues occupation is evident and the aggressor is making dangerous steps in other regions. Ukraine’s territory is also occupied and we have a frozen conflict in Moldova. We continue supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and non-recognition policy. We also support your Euro-Atlantic aspirations,” Linkevičius stated.

According to Foreign Minister of Lithuania, Euro-Atlantic path requires time, effort, motivation and patience. “This is not an easy way. But this is the road, which the majority of Georgian people chose. Georgia is walking along this road together with its friends,” he said.
